Avocado Natural Hair Mask
Avocado Natural Hair Mask: Pump Some Life back into Your Hair
About a year and a half ago I started the journey of transitioning my hair back to its all-natural glory. A bit too chicken to actually do the big chop, I opted to cut processing my hair cold turkey and allow my natural lengths the freedom to roam. Although, not where I want it to be, I’m happy to say my hair is looking like a natural hair healthy buffet in all its greatness.
My Hair Journey So Far….
That being said, with new horizons come new experiences and responsibilities. I thought hair care was expensive before…Whoo whee! Well I must say I was a little surprised at how much it is to maintain my natural mane. Now don’t get me wrong, the products aren’t more expensive or anything like that. Rather my expenses come from more of a trial and error bases. Trying new products and trying to find the best lovers for your hair.
Added to that, sometimes you find your hair may change its mind and choose to break up with your long time bae and off to the next guy to try and woo you again. Plus often times, as you become more aware of your hair, you use a bit more products with natural hair care.
That being said, I’m always on the look out for budget-friendly alternatives. I’m all about all about the effective care of you. Care of your hair, nails, skin and body. A big bonus always comes when you can use natural ingredients to do it. I absolutely believe that finding all natural ways to keep your body nurtured is one of the most effective, not to mention cost efficient ways of living.
So I have done some research to solve my budget problems and created a mask for your hair! I have used it several times and obtained healthier, stronger hair that grows. And the best part? Most of the ingredients can be found at home. So here is the recipe and I wish you happy hair days!
What you’ll need:
1/4 cup of avocado
1 to 2 eggs
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil /coconut oil
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of honey
In a small bowl, crush avocado until mashed out.
In another bowl, mix the eggs and oil and honey together (In the kitchen, wrist twistin’ like a stir fry (whip it)).
Add the egg+honey mixture to the bowl with avocado.
Next, add mayonnaise and mix well until it is a liquid paste.
Finally, add your concoction to your hair evenly and leave for up to two hours.
Once enough time has passed, rinse well and Voila! Shiny, healthy hair!
Keep doing this every week or every two weeks for three months and you should have healthier, longer and shinier hair.
